Super help article Chuong Do! I have a question regarding the ‘naive’ method. Say were are only calculating MAU or MTM retention, and say your users table didn’t have a registration_dt. How would you join the users table to calendar and trailing activity to get the correct values?

In the article you join users on registration_dt ≤ cal_dt

and then users.user_id is used in the joining of trailing activity. Is there a way to make the metric calculations work without joining the users table in the same way (on registration date)?
